What is the time it takes to ride the ferry?

A ferry ride from Long Beach to Catalina Island usually takes about an hour. Avalon is the main town on Catalina Island where it will drop you off.

 

If you'd like to bring along your bike or surfboard, expect an additional $700 per item. If you'd like to bring along normal-size carry-on luggage, the ticket price includes it. An additional fee is charged for several upgrades. Captains Lounge upgraded tickets cost $120 extra per person, and Commodore Lounge upgrades cost $40 more. In order to travel by Catalina Express Long Beach from San Diego, you are going to need to park your car somewhere. There is overnight parking available at the Long Beach Port for $2295 per 24 hours. There is no need to make a parking reservation, and all major credit cards are accepted. You can, however, park there for no more than 30 days - so if you plan to stay on Catalina Island all summer, you may have to find another home for your car.

 

A daily boat trip to Catalina Island is available
